ALL R THE DIFFERENT FACE OF SAME MALAISE.....i.e CORRUPTION

The experience from the bihar police was not that over whelming from me.. and it just made 1 thing clear in my mind dat y der's lack of trust b/w the police and the people..and its all d choice of police.. that's making it aloof from the people. The police of karnataka is not very different from bihar all are the son of same mother i.e "corruption"..der's one instance 2 prove ma point,Presently i m in banglr.. and i hv just lost ma cell while travelling in b.m.t.c bus when i was going to meet my ailing frend in b.g.s hospital quite in the out skirts of banglr ..perhaps sum 1 stole it it were group of some local boys... i cursed myself 4 my ignorance and went to police station (nearest to ma home)i.e kumar swamy layout police station and filed an F.I.R giving the details of my IMEI no of the cell..the sub-inspector(as he had 1 star on his shoulder) while taking the copy asked for the "FEE" (i knew it :-) ) i told him sir der's no any such fee for lodging an F.I.R and even not any fee for the subsequent investigations.. but he was quite determined to get "HIS FEE" (the system wud hv changed if these guys wud hv shown d same spirit &
determination in catching the culprits and solving the case.. )i first gave him 50 rupee saying i dont hv much money (though i had)..der was 1 contable standing der, who justified sub-inspctr's demand by saying that he is a good officier i thought in my mind i m just seeing hw good he is... at the same time he was quick to see inside my purse and and said in kannada u hv the money(again he should hv used the same vigilant eyes on criminals) anyways as a common money who needed a copy of f.i.r to block his sim (as telecom companies demand fir copy of police to block ur sim and gv another) i had to gv him 100 rupee..then sub-inspctr took his "fee" and kept straight in his pocket giving no reciept where exactly it is going.. now the sub-inspctr was quite friendly and said der's another sub-inspctr mr. jagadish who tackles this technical deprtmnt of tracing lost cell phones who will come after 2-3 days..(i couldn't find out the reason y 2-3 days and particularly when he was on duty) i tried to find out by asking a constable standing out side he told he has gone for a round vl cum after 2-3 hrs(watch the contradiction..)..now i started getting suspicious on motive of police that whether they vl genuinely investigate my case..so i along with ma flat partner came back to flat to come another day..perhps in noon when probably he wud not hv gone for rounds...... next day..i.e 4rth august arond 5 p.m i got a call from my sis he is hearing rings on ma cell.. so i immediately approached to the police station again briefing sub-inspctr the same.. he called from the land line and he also got the ring but, the "idiot"(pardon for my expression but i don't hv other words) tried to put off the matter saying its "false" ring..!!!!!!! i explained him saying "sir false ring doesn't get cut like normal ring after 1 minute..then he again said me to wait for mr. "jagadish" he vl be cuming in 20 mins.. i again verified from constable he said he has again gone for "rounds" vl cum after 2-3 hrs..(again contradiction b/w inspctr and constable, seriously lack of   unity of command...) at this point of time i thot of getting ma sim blocked as that guy may be misusing it..but b4 that i again tried the cell which was switched off now... i cursed the police in my mind for not showing the promptness to trace the cell..wen it was switched on... any ways we got the sim blocked in voda fone centre in jayanagar.. and again came back to police station to find whether mr "jagdish" has finished his famous"rounds"and as expected he was again missing from police station..with his unfinished rounds..:-) today again i along with ma flat partner s and with a local frend who knows kannada went to police station to find any progress in the tracing of the cell..and the answer was same wait for mr."jagadish" he has gone for the rounds..i sometimes wonder that whether mr. jagadish exist or not..and what kind of round he does which is not ending even after 7 days.. any ways we came back.. guys i m realy very fade up.. but surely vl not give up..its not only about my cell, its all about the rotten system and an institution which we pay to protect us and our belongings but sadly which is not yielding any productive results....i vl again go 2mrw let's see wat'a happens...TO BE CONTINUED

corruption AND casteism in bihar

this is the perhaps most critical problem faced by the state preventing it to develop its socio-economic aspects inspite of having a great pool of talent. obvoiusly, "all is not well" even after lalu's resign & in the so called "susasan" of nitish government.. the way of exploitation has just change... previously,it were illiterate ministers now the bureaucracy and other officials... the what astonishes me very much the very mentality of people of my state only..(i.e bihar) they are so much comfortable in this corrupt atmosphere that they dont hv any complaints.. regarding this. giving bribe to any official to get the work done is not considered as illegal or immoral.. rather it is smartness to get the work done fast..i still remember an instace one year back wen me along with my father went to the police station of my home district(siwan) for filing a f.i.r in a case.. as expected the inspector was reluctant to file it and ended up saying" kanoon(law) ke hisab se chala jaye to kuch v nai ho sakta hai, usse hat ke kam karna parega"... that means.. indirect demand of bribe for doing that "hatke" work.. finally it was not regisreted... morever, inspector was more interested in the "jati"(caste) of the culprit rather his crime as he was expecting a call from the local M.L.C who was of the same caste of the culprit consequently, the "natural justice has to take the back seat"...
